We have already looked at our orange strategy in part 1. Our 3 guidelines and 5 essentials in part 2. The 5 family values and 3 basic truths in part 3. Today we are checking out the 5 faith skills.
By the time a child enters adulthood there are 5 Faith Skills we want every child to develop to help them take ownership of their faith and make it theirs. These are built into our preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school ministries.
5 Faith Skills ::
Navigate the Bible - If you want to know God better, read His book Personalize Scripture - If you want to know God better, remember and apply His words. Dialogue with God - If you want to know God better, talk to Him. Share Your Bigger Story - If you want to know God better, tell others about Him. Worship with your life - If you want to know God better, give back to Him.
We work hard at making sure that each of our ministries has these targeted faith skills. It's also important for you as a parent and/or volunteer to be able to navigate these skills, because it has to be in you before it's in them.
